'Grievance Mechanisms: Improving stakeholder engagement and supply chain transparency'

In this webinar, Safecall, a leading provider of confidential reporting systems, and Kumi, a responsible sourcing consultancy, will demystify an often-overlooked part of the forthcoming European CS3D regulation; stakeholder engagement and the role of the grievance mechanism. Based on their combined experience of helping companies to implement grievance mechanisms and navigate responsible business requirements, Chancelle Blakey and James Lewry will:

• Introduce the importance of stakeholder engagement and the role grievance mechanisms play in both existing and forthcoming EU regulations, including the LkSG and CS3D
• Explain what companies need to be doing to meet stakeholder engagement expectations;
• Introduce the core components of an effective grievance mechanism based on the UNGP effectiveness criteria;
• Discuss some of the myths and realities of what a grievance mechanism is;
• Explore the barriers and challenges for implementing an effective mechanism in a global supply chain, and;
