OCS

At OCS, you should feel secure and supported in speaking up.

At OCS we take malpractice and misconduct seriously, whether it’s committed by a colleague, supplier, customer or other third party.

We want you to feel confident reporting any serious concerns so that we can deal with them fairly and adequately.  That’s why we have partnered with Safecall to provide you with a confidential and independent third party “whistleblowing” service.

Rob Legge, OCS Group CEO

You should use this independent “whistleblowing” service if you believe that one or more of the following has happened – or could happen.

  • Any criminal activity
  • Bribery
  • Corruption
  • Financial fraud or mismanagement
  • Failure to comply with any legal or professional obligation or regulatory requirements
  • Danger to health & safety
  • Damage to the environment
  • Conduct which is likely to damage our reputation
  • Actions which are intended to hide any of the above

We treat all matters raised in the strictest of confidence and make every effort not to reveal the identity of the person who raises the concern, unless you give your express consent.

You can contact Safecall using the Share a Concern button below.  Or  you can  speak to a Safecall representative by phone on 0800 915 1571 in the UK. If you are calling outside of the UK, you can find the freephone number for your  country at Safecall telephone numbers. Safecall’s phone lines are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  If English is not your first language you can request an interpreter.

Personal grievances or complaints

Do not use Safecall for grievances relating to your own personal circumstances or complaints, such as the way you have been treated at work, bullying, harassment, breach of employment legislation, or issues with your managers, ongoing pay claims or complaints. For personal grievances/issues, you should use your company’s HR grievance procedure.

Got a question?

Do not use Safecall for grievances relating to your own personal circumstances or complaints, such as the way you have been treated at work, bullying, harassment, breach of employment legislation, or issues with your managers.  Whistleblowing is different to a grievance.  Both are equally important and need to be investigated.

OCS has separate grievance processes/policies to manage these concerns.  These are available online for the UK and from the local HR or managing directors for our international businesses.

Yes. If you do not tell Safecall who you are they will not know your identity. Even if you make a mistake and accidentally tell Safecall your name they will not pass it on unless you agree to do so. Please be aware that an anonymous report may impact our ability to investigate and resolve the matter successfully.

You can also remain partially anonymous, whereby Safecall won’t share your name with OCS. If the investigator can contact you, it may help them fully understand the issue and take appropriate action.

Safecall does not audio record any of the calls to help protect the identity of anonymous callers.

Safecall will manage your concern in confidence. This will happen whether you contact Safecall online or by phone. Safecall will pass all the information you give, apart from your name if you wish, to the OCS whistleblowing team. They will make sure your concern is looked into thoroughly and confidentially.

If you raise a concern anonymously and OCS needs more information to help progress its investigation, we’ll post a request on this Safecall portal.

When you contact Safecall you will be provided with a username and password.  You can use these to access your concern, provide further information, or request feedback. Just click on the Follow up on a concern raised button below.  Please allow five working days before asking for feedback, to give us time to make an initial inquiry.

It is important that we keep things confidential, so we may not be able to tell you about any investigations or actions we take in relation to the issue you’ve told us about. But if we can provide you with any updates, we expect you to treat that information as confidential.

OCS and Safecall Limited are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. For us to be able to provide the whistleblowing service, we need to collect and process information. This information may include your personal data if you do not wish to remain anonymous. It may also contain personal data about other people where this is relevant to your particular concern.

If you do not wish for Safecall to pass your details to OCS, Safecall may still collect personal data about you and others where relevant. Safecall will only pass your personal data to OCS if you agree to this. Further information about how Safecall processes personal data can be found in Safecall's Privacy Notice.

You may have agreed that Safecall can pass your details to OCS or have provided Safecall with personal information to be passed to OCS. OCS will process your personal information in accordance with the OCS Privacy Notices.

We will only keep your personal information for the minimum period required to fulfil the relevant purposes. Further details are set out in OCS and Safecall’s Privacy Notices – see the links above
